Every month, we present the most comprehensive and easy to use list of acoustic performances in the
New York Metropolitan area. The idea for a printed newsletter-listings guide was initiated by Barbara Horowitz,
Publishing Editor, and former coordinator of volunteer staff at the Fast Folk Cafe in NYC. The creation
of the newsletter and this website fell to me, Richard Cuccaro, Computer Graphics Artist and former
director of the Fast Folk Cafe.
Barbara passed away in July of 2001. The newsletter and website continue on.
Viki Peterman, my wife, now assists as treasurer and with distribution.
We'll continue improving this site at every opportunity. We hope you like our efforts!

Some Quotes: "Thank you for the very important work you do for the folk community. I'm grateful for resources like you." --John Platt Development and Marketing Director City Folk Sunday Breakfast Host WFUV FM Radio "I came upon your website and thought it was the best thing since meatloaf. I wish Chicago had this kind of listing. Every publication dabbles in it, but no one has it this concise. Great work." -- Ray Johnson from Saldo Kreek, Chicago IL. www.saldokreek.com
